{"id":17246,"date":"2020-03-20T02:28:50","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T01:28:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ophtalmologue-nord.fr\/?p=17246"},"modified":"2024-09-09T15:22:55","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T13:22:55","slug":"apres-intervention-refractive-par-laser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ophtalmo-bw.be\/en\/apres-intervention-refractive-par-laser\/","title":{"rendered":"Post-Laser Vision Correction Care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You will need to be accompanied by car after the laser procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eye drops should be started as soon as you return home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After LASIK surgery:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The hulls should be kept for 7 nights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A sensation of grains of sand is common, with watery eyes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above all, don't hesitate to keep your eyes well hydrated with prescribed artificial tears (plenty of them, even 6 to 10 times a day if it makes you feel better).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visual autonomy returns the next day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Healing continues for the first month. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After a PRK operation : <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A soft lens (conventional, without correction) is fitted after the operation. The aim is to improve healing and prevent excessive eye pain (bandage effect). This lens should be removed between the 3rd and 4th day after the operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intense pain and photophobia are common in the first 2 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Painkillers are prescribed and must be taken immediately to help control the discomfort and pain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow for 3 to 5 daysof social downtime (no computer use or driving).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visual autonomy is slower than with LASIK, taking 5 to 7 days.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Healing continues for the first 3 months. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: At 3 months post-laser, neither technique (LASIK or PRK) has shown superiority in visual outcomes. <\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il faudra \u00eatre raccompagn\u00e9 en voiture apr\u00e8s l&#8217;intervention au laser.
