Cataract Surgery and Progressive PREMIUM Implants

TESTIMONIALS

Mr. Christopher TIRARD, intervention with PREMIUM implants for presbyopia and hyperopia

» Like many people in their fifties, I finally decided to consult an ophthalmologist (with a heavy heart) at the idea of having to wear progressive glasses which would always be better than spending my time switching from glasses for seeing at mid-distance to those for reading (very simple glasses bought in a pharmacy). During the consultation, I quickly asked if my case was suitable for an operation (having heard about a few cases around me). Without really believing it (or daring to hope for it), the answer sounded like the announcement of "the" long-awaited Christmas present for a 10-year-old child... "yes, and in your case (farsighted, slightly presbyopic and a very noticeable touch of astigmatism), the results are spectacular thanks to the same intervention as the cataract, but with "multifocal" lens implants... So yes it is a certain budget, BUT... the result? Read on... It took 2 separate operations separated by a month (allow +/- 1 month of convalescence for each eye), and the result 2 months later is that I recovered to 10/10... and without a single pair of glasses... When we talk about convalescence, don't worry, the vision only really remains cloudy after the operation for 2 or 3 days, then it gradually clears up day by day. So, today (2 months after the first operation)? No more glasses, whether for seeing at mid-distance (I can clearly see my TV, a screen in a meeting room, the (clear) faces of people in a meeting room, road signs, the information on my dashboard), but I can also (and still without glasses) read a newspaper, and even medication instructions... I, who sometimes couldn't even read certain characters with "4" glasses from the pharmacy, I can assure you that it was a shock (more than welcome)! So, congratulations and thank you to Dr. Sion (and his colleagues) for the operation. I have rarely spent this type of money on health care, but I can say that I have already spent significantly more on things that are far more futile than the "luxury" of seeing myself again like I did in my 20s 😉 So, a week-long cruise for two in the Caribbean or "new eyes"? In other words: for the equivalent of 4 good pairs of progressive glasses, we have the luxury of no longer having to wear glasses... Unfortunately, there are apparently very different cases from one another, so the main message of this interminable testimony: find out what is possible for you, because the best news is that there are apparently many different solutions, but to find out, you have to consult. Who? Here I can testify to the quality of the service and the advice given to me by Dr. Sion. He was able to quickly put me at ease and was also able to give me time to think about the question. Last thing: does it hurt, does it last long? No, it is absolutely not painful and it only lasts (for the operation I had) about ten minutes. In any case, for the first eye, I went there with a big dose of anxiety, as for the second, I went there as relaxed as when I go shopping on a weekday... Know that I am not the type to advertise everything. To tell you the truth, it is the first time in my life that I leave a testimonial of this kind (perhaps that is why I "let go")... or perhaps because it is not every day that you come across someone who gives you back your eyes... Be careful, no false promises: each case is different, but Dr. Sion will be able to tell you exactly what it is like for you. Last appreciable thing: he does not push for consumption. In fact, he only spoke to me about the operation when I asked him the question, which also greatly contributed to the feeling of confidence he inspired in me.

Mrs. Bénédicte FAVRESSE, intervention with PREMIUM implants for Presbyopia

» I have a positive experience with my operations. Dr. Sion immediately put me at ease and was available to provide me with all the information I needed. What a joy to see the world so clearly again. There is no better gift than this to start a new year. I am satisfied with the doctor's professionalism. Thank you for everything!

Mrs. Annie BALDO, cataract surgery

» I had two operations by Dr. Sion: cataracts in both eyes. The operation is quick, painless and effective. The same day, despite the patch protecting the operated eye, the difference was obvious. What in the morning seemed yellowish and blurred like kitchen furniture, at midday, back home after the operation, everything seemed bright white.
The follow-up by Dr. Sion was excellent and the treatment very simple.
In short, it's great.
